Ideas for making your own horse toys for the stable!
* Hanging vegetables from the ceiling.
* Hanging feed bags up - de-sensitises them to them too, or you can cut holes in it and fill with something so when the horse knocks it, carrots fall out.
* Footballs.
* Old pop bottles with stones in that they can rattle.
* 1 or 2ltr plastic milk containers filled with grass or high fibre nuts and a hole cut in the top - make a good and cheap alternative to the feed ball thingies. As they nose them about the nuts fall out.
* A plastic 5 ltr container hung from the ceiling with or without feed in - an alternative to the 'likit' things that hang from the ceiling.
* Put branches in the stable for him/her to nibble
* Empty cardboard boxes with treats hidden under the flaps are a good toy.
* A supplement tub hung from the ceiling with a hole in the bottom filled with carrots/apples etc so food falls out when she knocks it.
